WHISPER NODE: RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Whisper Node is a Fourwall research and development project undertaken with BaoQuac Doan of Mantone and Gana Meissner of Volkswagen Design Group. The project engages with ambient sound to drive a field of LED lights in order produce and ambient effect. The project employs Arduino, Processing, Max/MSP, and various digital fabrication technologies.
Whisper Node is an LED panel system prototype that reacts to changes in decibel levels. Whisper Node provides users real time interaction with individual LEDs as well as recording system interaction for the duration of the event using heatmap clusters.
