GASSON NOIR

Gasson Noir is a wide screen 3D Animation created for the “Pops on the Heights” annual event at Boston College featuring precisely lit rendering of the gothic architecture of Gasson Hall and animation of the iconic golden eagle statue on campus. The project look and feel is inspired by low key lighting techniques of film noir and employs extra wide screen projection to further communicate the mysterious and sublime spirit of the historic Gothic architecture to the live audience. The 3D animation content for the event was exported to 8K HD video and projected live on an oversized three screen projections to accompany musical performances by Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and vocalist Jennifer Hudson.
